Popeye Jones is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Player who was born on June 17, 1970 in Dresden, Tennessee, United States. After averaging 10.3 rebounds and 10.6 points the previous year, 1995-96 was his best season with the Mavericks. He averaged 11.3 points per game and 10.8 rebounds per match while making 14 of 39 3-point attempts. He has a career average of 7.0 points per game and 7.4 rebounds in the NBA. In 1995-96, he was able to score 28 rebounds in one game for the Mavericks. This is still a team record.
During Jones’ tenure with Denver, he approached Joe Sakic of the Colorado Avalanche about his son playing ice hockey. Sakic advised the elder Jones to enroll his sons in skating classes first. In 2013, Seth Jones played for the United States under-20 ice hockey team which won gold at the world junior tournament. Caleb also was a member of the 2017 United States team which accomplished the same feat.

Jones played for the Boston Celtics as well as the Denver Nuggets (Washington Wizards), and Golden State Warriors. Jones played 26 of the 82 games in the 2002-03 season for the Mavericks.
Following his 11-year career year in the NBA, Jones decided to pursue coaching professional basketball. He first worked as a player development coach with the Dallas Mavericks. After spending the 2007–08 through the 2009–10 season with the Mavericks, he earned a coaching job with the New Jersey / Brooklyn Nets as an assistant coach.

Jones’s son, Seth, is a professional ice hockey player who was drafted in the 1st round of the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
